Can XPS 8500 with Bluetooth built-in act as a router?

This question is not answered

Greetings;

I have hope my new XPS 8500 will  solve my networking needs:

Setting up a wireless or Ethernet network: can the built-in Bluetooth goodies, function as a router?

My XPS 8500 came with Bluetooth installed.  I would like to setup a wireless network if possible: linking the new XPS

(Windows 8) to my old XPS Gen3 (Windows XP Pro) and my new Aluratek 9.7” Tablet (Android 4.0, with Bluetooth 4.0 and

Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n).  Can this be done?  If not, perhaps my dust covered ‘Netgear MR814 4-port Cable/DSL Wireless

Router with 10/100 Mbps Switch’ will be up to the challenge?

  • Hi El Fusilero,

    I will be glad to help you. Request you to let me know the details of the wireless card. I will then check if the card can act as a router.

    Do reply with your answers.
