Thank you for the detailed description of the problem and details of troubleshooting. From your post I understand that you are trying to use “AMD Switchable Graphics” for the games and you are receiving the error message “Catalyst Control Centre: host has stopped working”. The steps that you have tried are indeed the suggested steps on AMD Support Site as well. I would like to know what games (name of the games) you are trying to play. Also, were you able to use “AMD Switchable Graphics” earlier for these games?

Euro Truck Simulator, and Omsi Bus Simulator are the games I play, the games do work but I have to configure switchable graphics in order to get the best performance. And yes I was able to use AMD Switchable graphics earlier until this problem occurred.
Try to perform System Restore in Windows 7. This will restore your computer to an earlier date when the Catalyst Center Application was working. After performing System Restore check if you are able to use Catalyst Center Application. Click here to find steps on how to perform System Restore in Windows 7.
Do reply with results.
I tried the system restore, however it only allows me to go back a couple of days. The Catalyst Control Centre problem started a couple of days after I received my laptop which was on Christmas Day, which was caused by me using switchable graphics.. So I went along with the system restore which took me to the furthest back I could go which was 7/72013, and I didn't fix the problem.
Let’s ensure none of the Startup Items are affecting the operation of the Catalyst Control Panel. Perform a clean startup, click here for Microsoft’s article on performing a clean startup.
Ok so I followed the steps for a clean startup, and that did not work, I still get the message saying Catalyst Control Centre: Host has stopped working.
Do you want me to post "Event Viewer Logs"?
Taken from various sources on the web:
Go to the USERS folder in the root directory and RIGHT CLICK to bring up PROPERTIES. At the bottom of the GENERAL properties there is a check box labeled HIDDEN. Put a check in the box and click APPLY. A window will pop up asking if you want to apply to ALL sub-directories. check Yes and OK. Another window will pop up letting you know that it is working. When it is finished resetting all the sub-directories to HIDDEN repeat the process. This time with the properties check box UNMARKED and hit Apply and select ALL again and click OK. When it finishes resetting all the sub-directories you are finished. The Control Center should now be able to work and the error message should stop appearing.
Thanks for the reply Paul, however I've tried this step numerous times and it does not seem to fix my problem.
Dell-Zohaib R, I have found in the event log viewer what I think is the error I don't know how to read it but maybe you can or you know someone who can. However I don't know how to show it to you. Try this link to my skydrive and their should be three photos of the event log. skydrive.live.com
I've also attached the event log file itself, in that link.
Try re-installing .NET Framework 4.0
I downloaded it and tried installing it but it says I've already got it and cannot re-install it. Is there a way of locating and deleting it so i can try re installing it?
Thanks for the reply Paul but the thing is when I go onto uninstall a program I cannot find Microsoft. Net, or anything of or near relating to that.
