I have "FastAccess" software, and every time I log in, the annoying vertical black box of the webcam software pops up. How do I disable that annoyance misspelled as "feature"?
Fast Access Recognition software provides fast, simple, and secure access to the computer using face recognition. In case you wish to disable it, you may try the steps below:
Go to Start Menu > All Programs > FastAccess facial recognition > "Configure FastAccess" then take the "Security" slider and move it to "Off".

"I have "FastAccess" software, and every time I log in, the vertical black box of the webcam software pops up. How do I disable the webcam software veritcal black box?
Dell FastAccess Facial Recognition uses the Webcam for scanning and recognising facial features for login. If you do not want to see this at start-up, you may try the steps mentioned below.
Turn off Webcam Central at Startup: Go to the System Tray, find the Dell Webcam Central icon, RIGHT CLICK and DESELECT "Automatically launch Webcam Central when video streaming starts"
Turn off FastAccess: Open the Management Console (Windows menu > All Programs > FastAccess facial recognition > Configure Fastaccess" and select "Disabled" for your security mode.
In order to remove the Dell Fast Access and Dell Webcam Software from the Start-up menu, go to the Start Menu >> Run and type “msconfig” [ without quotes ] and press Enter.
Under the startup tab you will find the FAMonitor (FATray Mon) from Sensible Vision, please uncheck this so that Fast Access does not automatically load at Start-up. You will also find Dell Webcam Central listed here, Uncheck this as well and click on Apply. Re-start the computer and check if you still see the same vertical box when you login.
Please reply if you have any further questions.
Gad you are stupid:
The issue is NOT FAST ACCESS. AS MADE CLEAR, the issue is the WEBCAM software.
READ what I wrote --
"I have "FastAccess" software, and every time I log in, THE VERTICAL BLACK BOX OF THE WEBCAM SOFTWARE pops up. How do I disable the WEBCAM SOFTWARE VERTICAL BLACK BOX?
My previous post has steps for disabling the Fast Access and Dell Webcam programs from startup.
However, in case you still feel my reply lacks clarity, please post a screenshot of the vertical black box which you see at Start-up. There could be a possibility that what I understand to be the Webcam opening to facilitate the facial recognition software at start-up could be something different.
The screenshot would help me understand the issue correctly and assist you better.
I am not a beginner. I know how to uninstall, install, and disable programs.
The applicable term is CONFIGURATION.
The problem is not "Fast Access".
Have you grasped that fact yet?
AFTER logging on with Fast Access, a vetical WEBCAM SOFTWARE black box pops up with choices of avatoars, images of oneself with overlays -- etc. The box didn't pop up iuntil recently. The idea that one disable or uninstall the program to stop it still doesn't respond to the original question:
How to CONFIGURE the WEBCAM software to STOP the annoyance that is the black box popping up.
By default, Dell™ WebCam Central 2.0 will be automatically launched in IM Mode whenever video streaming is started by another application (for the current selected camera). This is to allow the users to use Dell™ WebCam Central 2.0 to control the video settings and to add video effects to the video streaming that is started by third party applications.
However, you can turn off this "Automatically launch Dell™ WebCam Central 2.0 when video streaming starts" option from the (right-click) context menu of Dell™ WebCam Central 2.0 in the system tray.
Right click on the Dell Webcam Central icon, in the system tray, near the clock.
Uncheck the box: Automatically launch Dell Webcam Central when video streaming starts. This should stop the black box from popping up.
