Please i need help with installing windows7 on Dell Inspiron 17R SE 7720 , i reformatted the drive an now , i have been trying for days to install windows 7 but kept getting different kinds of error message. It never was this complicated, what have you done DELL?

I am a student at the University of Sustainable Development Germany and iam using a windows 7 DVD for the fresh installations. I have deletedand recreated the partitions.When i start installation it gives me a blue screen at stage 2 when theinstallation is expanding the files.

I was able to change to ‘AHCI' in the BIOS and saved.
But the in the 'Boot' tab i noticed the ' Secure Boot ' is greyed out so i can not change it, and its present status is ' Disabled '
'Boot List option ' is set to 'Legacy'

my system did not come with a dell operating system installation disk. Please assist i believe my problem is still with the BIOS settings. I am a researcher , it is so painful spending all this time and making no head way with this system

Once you have made these changes in BIOS, I would request you to try installing windows 7 from the installation DVD that you have.

Hi thanks for your assistance so far but nothing has changed, maybe disabling the UEFI
now i can no longer acess the BIOS by pressing either F2 or F12 keys , please kindly assist me
I have deleted and repartitioned the hard drives several times but i noticed there is a Boot(X:) containing folders(Program files, Sources, Users, Windows)
Run the diagnostics on the system to check the hardware functionality.
