I have an Inspiron 14R N4110. It recently died in the middle of a session. After that, it would occasionally power up normally, but now it does zilch.
When I press the power on button, it doesn't even light up. The only thing it does is, the small LED on the edge of the laptop lights up. The LED stays lit and won't go off even if I press the power button. The only way to get the LED to turn off is to remove the battery. Nothing on the screen. I have tried removing the battery and using just the AC cord, and it does the same thing.
The laptop is barely a year old and, of course, 3 months out of warranty.

I tried all that. No luck. Any other idea will be appreciated.
As I said. the power button does not light up, but the small LED on the edge of the unit does light when I press the power button, then will not go out until I disconnect the battery.Nothing on the screen at all.
Very frustrating, as this is practically a brand new unit use-wise. I doubt I have 10 hours of use on it. I only use it for work, and got it to replace an older unit which I was using most of the time. I have hardly gotten any use out of it and now this.
I appreciate the time and effort that you took to troubleshoot the issue. .If possible please check the system with a different AC adapter.
It could be an issue with the power port or motherboard. As the system is out of warranty then you contact our Expired Warranty Support at the link below:

the model is Inspiron N4110
The issue started a week ago.
The power LED does NOT come on at all.
When I plug the AC adapter into the outlet, The battery light comes on. If I press the power button, the Wi-Fi LED also
lights. At no time does the power button light up.
I get the same results with just the battery connected and no AC cord...Or with just the AC cord and no battery.
The LED on the AC cord lights up.
Apologies for the delayed reply. As the led on AC adapter comes on it seems to be an issue with the power port or motherboard which would require replacement.
