Inspiron 15R 5521 CD/DVD Drive

Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing some problems with my brand new laptop. In fact, for some reasons, sometimes when i turn on my computer and i try to open my DVD drive it won't open. I have to restart my laptop to do so again with no problems. I'm wondering what could do this problem. I hope you have some ideas how to solve this issue.

  • I've tried the test. It passed correctly the 58 issues...i'll keep checking if the problem occurs again and let you know.

  • No problem thanks to you

    I've noticed another issue. It only happened once from now on but i'll tell you what is it. In fact, I've put my computer in sleeping mode well it put itself after a while and when i recover it and try to shut it down it won't respond. I'm wondering what may cause this problem? Do you have an idea? It only happened once just at that time. I hope it won't happen again that's why i'm asking if something is going wrong in it and if you have something you might suggest me to do...to solve this problem

  • To follow as i previously said about the DVD player in the computer the problem occured again. I had to go in the desktop and double click on the dvd/cd icon to open the tray.....i hope i'll not have to do this each time the problem occurs...could you help me about this and also about the previous message ive sent ?

  • I have the same problem on my brand new inspiron15R. From previous post, is there a driver I can download to make the cd drive work without going to win + E and click dvd???
