I'm experiencing some problems with my brand new laptop. In fact, for some reasons, sometimes when i turn on my computer and i try to open my DVD drive it won't open. I have to restart my laptop to do so again with no problems. I'm wondering what could do this problem. I hope you have some ideas how to solve this issue.
Thanks a lot,

No problem thanks to you
I've noticed another issue. It only happened once from now on but i'll tell you what is it. In fact, I've put my computer in sleeping mode well it put itself after a while and when i recover it and try to shut it down it won't respond. I'm wondering what may cause this problem? Do you have an idea? It only happened once just at that time. I hope it won't happen again that's why i'm asking if something is going wrong in it and if you have something you might suggest me to do...to solve this problem
To follow as i previously said about the DVD player in the computer the problem occured again. I had to go in the desktop and double click on the dvd/cd icon to open the tray.....i hope i'll not have to do this each time the problem occurs...could you help me about this and also about the previous message ive sent ?

I have the same problem on my brand new inspiron15R. From previous post, is there a driver I can download to make the cd drive work without going to win + E and click dvd???
Was your problem solved, i am facing this issue on my brand new 15r laptop and even dell service centre guys couldn't resolve it.
No, it was never resolved. I have to go to the control center each time I need to open the cd. I also have issues with updates not installing. Multiple calls to service have resulted in being disconnected or hung up on. I've given up with them. So much for 'lifetime service'.
Sad to hear that, so much for spending our hard earned money on a laptop with a problem that can't be resolved by the manufacturers itself, I had taken my laptop to the dell service centre and those guys told it has been fixed and sent me but after a few days again the same thing occurred, I have lost my faith on DELL and their techies, it's like neither I use this laptop happily nor can I throw it.
