This question is not answered

What should I do to be able update driver on intel HD 3000 graphic card. I have updated BIOS to the latest one A13 if that say you something. And on top of this my dell suddenly become very slow.I have all drivers from dell site using service tag. all are the latest one but it's been annoying when i can't even watch movies because my dell is freezing for a second every minute. And there is so many thing to download and i am getting confusing what should be install first what second and so on, even if i have guide form the dell which says the order but in every category there is a lot of drivers. And the only one which i can't install is intel graphic driver so that's why i think this is  a problem of my laptop.

specification of my dell:

Win7 64-bit

i5-2430M CPU@2.40GHz

graphic cards: amd radeon HD 7650M

Please help me.

  • Hi Paul,

Uninstall the drivers and then install the video drivers from the below links.

    • Click “Start”, type “Device Manager” and press enter.
    • In the “Device Manager” window, click the plus sign next to “Display Adapters” to expand it.
    • Under “Display Adapters”, right click “Intel HD Graphics”, click “Uninstall”.
    • Check the box “Delete driver software for this device”, click ok and follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the Intel HD Graphics driver.
    • Restart the computer.
    • Open “Device Manager” again.
    • Under “Display Adapters”, right click the AMD Radeon HD driver, click “Uninstall”.
    • Check the box “Delete driver software for this device”, click ok and follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the AMD Radeon HD driver.
    • Restart the computer.
    • Install the drivers from the below links:

    Intel: http://dell.to/Y686EA

    AMD Radeon HD HD7650: http://dell.to/11SLzBF

After installing the drivers, restart the computer. Check if the computer freezes now.

If the issue persists, boot into safe mode with networking (restart the computer and tap F8 on Dell logo and select safe mode with networking) and check if the computer freezes there as well.

    Awaiting your response!

  • Hi Rajesh,

I'm having same problem. I've just installed a new copy of Windows 7 (64-bit) and when I've tried to install Intel HD 3000 drivers (same one which you have provided link for) it just says that my computer doesn't meet minimum requirements. I've installed all other drivers in order provided by DELL. My BIOS is up to date(I believe it's the same version as the author's of this thread(A13)). What steps should I take from here? Should I try going back to earlier BIOS version?

    sincerely

    kavi

P.S. Forgot to mention that my dedicated video card is a ATI Radeon HD6630M

  • Hi Kavi,

Try downloading the AMD Mobility Radeon Driver Verification Tool from the below site. The AMD Mobility Radeon Driver Verification tool helps you determine your notebook’s compatibility with generic AMD Catalyst Mobility drivers.
