Click on CD icon, box appears,"cannot find."
Just before logging off the night before,I accidently called up a box that said,"play..." I cannot remember the rest. I couldn't "X" it out. I hit "next" and then "configure" After that,I hit alt+ delete and got rid of it
Several days ago,I downloaded Kazaa lite.
These are the only changes I've made. I also used "system restore". No luck. I have Windows XP.
The D drive is no longer listed in "my computer," nor does it appear in the drop down menu after calling up "send to."
There is no speaker icon in the lower right hand corner to see if the D drive is locked.
How do I find it and put it back where it belongs so I can continue using it?
Thanks one and all.

It may be a software problem. First thing, go into the bios and make sure the cdrom is the first boot device. You can find out how to do that with the web pc manual found here http://docs.us.dell.com/docs/systems/dweb/9897t.pdf
After you check the bios to make sure the cdrom is the first boot device, put in the XP cd and restart the computer. Do you get an option to "Press any Key to boot from cdrom"
Let me know what happens
