When I try to read a DVD-R the computer recognizes it, but it does not display its contents. It only displas a desktop.ini
When I double click it a text file opens. This DVD can be read on a MAC and on another dell which has TSST Corp DVD+-RW TS-H653G. But for some reason it cannot be read on mine. Please advise.
The desktop.ini file is a file that tells Windows how to display the folder contents. In this case, I'm not sure it's telling you anything useful.
Tell me more about the problem. Are you able to read any other DVD-R discs? How about DVD+R discs or commercial movie discs?
Please post back and let me know if you need more help.
