Inspiron 660 Video card for older games

This question has suggested answer(s)

I was wondering if a GeForce GT 520 would work on an Inspiron 660 to play older games like Fallout 3, New Vegas and Oblivion.

  • I believe it's underpowered for gaming, even older games. You'd be better off with a 6670 or equivalent.

  • No.  The GT 520 is not a very good gaming card unless you turn all your settings down to low.  You would have to go back to much older games for things to be playable than the ones you mentioned.  As suggested, go with the HD 6670 HERE or the better HD 7750 HERE.

No that would be a horrible card.

This would mean SAPPHIRE 100357LP Radeon HD 7750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Video Card minimum and adding directx june 2010 patch.

  • if you can't afford $100 like the suggested cards above like the HD 7750 then the rock bottom you could buy and still play those games would be a HD 6570 www.newegg.com/.../Product.aspx ... they would be playable on LOW settings.  It is the card I put in my new Win8 box so I could play WoW, Star Trek Online, and SWTOR.
